Do I need an appointment, or can I just turn up?

To keep our service accessible to everyone in need you will need to make an appointment before visiting.

How do I find you?

FreeShop is based inside the Bewbush Centre in Dorsten Square. You can find us by heading to the back of the building where you will see a small car park and blue basketball courts. You will enter the shop opposite the basketball courts next to our big roller banner with logo, opening times and contact details on - so you will know you are in the right place!

When are you open?

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 10am-2pm
Wednesday: 10am-2pm
Thursday: 10am-2pm
Friday: 10am-2pm
Saturday: 10am-1pm
Sunday: Closed

Will there be someone to help me?

We have lots of friendly faces running the shop and there will always be someone on hand to help you find everything you need, answer your questions, and carry heavy items to a car if required.

What do I need to bring with me?

You will need to bring along your proof of address to show that you are a Crawley resident.

Do you need to see my bank/finance details?

No, this is not required.

What items do you have in the shop?

We are largely run on the kindness of donations along with seasonal produce deliveries from food redistributors like Fareshare - this means we always have different and exciting things in the shop. You can be confident you will always be able to take away your staple goods such as bread, pasta, milk,and tinned goods. We also have a varied stock for those with additional dietary needs such as gluten free, dairy free etc

Will I have a budget to spend?

Yes. Your budget will be determined on your first visit, by our team, and depends on the number of people in your household.

Do you deliver food?

We are unable to offer a delivery service currently

Can I help in the shop?

We are always looking for support, whether that is helping in the shop, managing the stock room or even in more creative ways such as keeping our social media up to date. If you have some time spare and feel you could bring a skill to the team, get in touch:
